VI announces 5G service in Delhi
New Delhi: Vodafone-Idea (Vi) has announced that its enterprise users will soon be able to get 5G services in the capital Delhi NCR region. It is reported that the company has informed this through text message.
The 5G spectrum auction was held a few weeks ago. A total of Rs 1.5 lakh crore was reported to have been sold in this auction. Reliance Jio has topped the list with Rs.88 thousand crores. Airtel seems to have bought the spectrum for Rs 43,084 crore and Vodafone Idea for Rs 18,784 crore.
By the end of this month, it has been reported that Airtel and Jio are going to provide 5G service only in certain cities. However, no official information has been released regarding this. In this case, Vodafone-Idea has announced that its corporate users will soon be able to get 5G service in the capital city of Delhi.
Vodafone-Idea, India’s third largest telecom company in terms of customers, has tied up with international players such as Nokia and Ericsson.
“Good news for you! Vi Network Upgrades to 5G! Your network experience will now be better. Soon you will enjoy better coverage and high speed internet service in Delhi NCR with Vi Network,” the company said in a message to customers.
However, there is no information about the release date. Netizens who have been using the internet all the time are eagerly waiting to use the 5G service.
