Fitness fiends! Adele, Kelly Osbourne and more stars have shown off their wellness journeys on social media — and fans are loving their transformations.
The “Hello” singer shocked Instagram users with a new photo in May as she rang in her 32nd birthday in a little black dress. An expert later told Us Weekly that it appeared as though Adele had lost “approximately 150 pounds” from 2008 to 2020. Though the Grammy winner hasn’t commented on her weight loss herself, her trainer, Pete Geracimo, weighed in with his support.
“When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was about getting her healthy. Especially post-pregnancy and post-surgery,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram message to fans in May. “When 25 dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13 month grueling schedule. In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices. As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice.”
While the “Rolling in the Deep” star has made headlines with her stunning transformation, Geracimo acknowledged that her decision to lose weight was on her own terms.
“This metamorphosis is not for album sales, publicity or to be a role model,” the trainer wrote. “She is doing it for herself and for [her son] Angelo. My hope is that people appreciate the hard work that Adele has done to improve herself for the benefit to her and her family only. … This personal transformation has nothing to do with me or you. It’s about Adele and how she wants to live her life.”
Like Adele, Osbourne has embarked on a well-documented fitness journey through the years. “I took more hell for being fat than I did for being an absolute raging drug addict,” she told Us in February 2010 after losing an impressive 42 pounds. “I will never understand that. … I’m really proud to look in the mirror and not hate every single thing I see.”
More than a decade later, the former Fashion Police presenter posed in a bright red jumpsuit in a new Instagram photo — and revealed that she’d lost 85 pounds. “Today I’m feeling #Gucci,” she captioned the slim selfie.
