General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos may finally reconcile with his son, Michael Corinthos. However, the damage may already be done on GH. And when the truth comes out, the kingpin may never forgive his son, and he may go dark on the ABC soap opera.
General Hospital: Sonny Corinthos Making Progress
Currently, on GH, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is getting closer to reconciling with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Lately, Michael seems to be at odds with himself over his plot against his father. For a long time, he was adamant that the mobster needs to be put away for good.
However, Willow Tait‘s (Katelyn MacMullen) terminal illness puts things in perspective for Mikey. And he realizes that family is more important than revenge. As a result, he’s almost called off his scheme with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) several times.
He appears to be softening towards Sonny on General Hospital. Plus, he sees that the mob boss is a different man than he used to be. So, recent events suggest that he may end his quest to destroy his dad. Soon, he might give their father-son relationship another chance.
Mikey Forgives His Father on GH
Currently, Mikey’s fiancée, Willow, is trying to mend the rift between him and his dad. She knows that part of the driving force behind his vendetta is his loyalty to his mom, Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright).
So, Willow recently turned to Carly for help in ending the feud. Indeed, Carly will do anything for Willow on General Hospital. This request is her dying wish. So, Carly will likely talk to her son about forgiving his dad. And it could be the final push he needs. However, it may be too late…

Mobster Goes Full-Villain on General Hospital
Eventually, Sonny will discover that Dex works for Michael, and when he does, he will be irate. Then he might be the one who doesn’t want to reconcile. The tables may turn, making Sonny the one to kick Mikey out of his life.
Furthermore, he might go after revenge on his son. This betrayal could push the mobster over the edge and make him revert to his old, ruthless behavior. The kinder, gentler boss may disappear on General Hospital.
And he might vow to destroy Michael. If so, it could cause issues with his lady Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). And, of course, Carly will be livid. But, the don may feel he deserves it. And we could see a side of the mafioso that we haven’t seen for quite some time.
So, Sonny Corinthos might soon get his wish on GH. However, his joy won’t last long when he finds out how far Mikey went for revenge, and the dark mobster may return on the ABC sudser. Don’t miss a second.
