King Charles Excludes Sarah Ferguson From Coronation

As Britain celebrates King Charles III’s ascension, Sarah Ferguson shall join the rest of the world in watching the event at home.

The media personality, affectionately dubbed “Fergie,” became a member of the royal family following her marriage to Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. However, her romance with the monarch’s younger brother ended after six years in 1992.

Despite remaining on good terms with her ex-husband, her relationship with Queen Elizabeth’s second son did not guarantee her a spot at his sibling’s coronation. The 63-year-old was royally snubbed from attending the upcoming ceremony on May 6.

The Duchess of York was reportedly not invited to her former brother-in-law’s crowning ceremony. PageSix confirmed the exclusion from a source, who revealed the monarch had not included Ferguson on his guest list.

However, the lack of invitation to the Westminster Abbey affair might not result in hurt feelings as the bestselling author suspected the King’s actions. During an interview, the “Her Heart for a Compass” writer aired the possibility of being excluded from the event.

According to the Teenage Cancer Trust patron, she believed the King would not invite her to the crowning ceremony because she was no longer his younger brother’s wife. Despite knowing she would physically miss the highly-anticipated event, Ferguson planned on honoring Charles’s big day.

“I will be having a little tea room and coronation chicken sandwich and putting out the bunting,” the media personality confessed. Nonetheless, the snub might sting a little as the 63-year-old was the only person in her family excluded from the guest list.

The “Finding Sarah” author’s ex-husband and their two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, shall attend the coronation, marking another event the trio got to participate in without the author. The monarch’s crowning ceremony was one of Ferguson’s many exclusions from royal events.

In 2011, The Heart Truth ambassador was not invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, an event that hit a sour spot in the philanthropist’s heart. “I didn’t think I was probably worthy of going to their wedding,” the Duchess of York lamented in a 2021 interview.

Although she was snubbed from the heir apparent’s wedding, the “Little Red” author was deemed worthy of attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. Despite her rocky stance in the royal family, the mother-of-two wholeheartedly supports the British monarchy.

While discussing the upcoming coronation with People Magazine, the Duchess of York declared her undying loyalty to the throne. “I’m very supportive of the King and the Queen Consort, and I am glad to do whatever it takes to support them on their road ahead,” the 63-year-old raved.

“I think it’s very British, and it’s fascinating. I love the institution of monarchy, and I believe in upholding the institution,” the Motor Neurone Disease Association patron chimed, noting that she has supported the system since Queen Elizabeth’s reign.

Gushing about the late monarch, the “A Most Intriguing Lady” author described her former mother-in-law as a great person and ruler. “She knew how to make people feel good. She never took it on board as about her,” Ferguson said. “It’s about the monarchy, about making someone feel good. She was my total idol.”

Prince Andrew  Allegedly Planned On Retrieving His HRH Through His Older Brother

Earlier this year, The Blast reported that Prince Andrew was trying to restore his HRH title using his connections to King Charles. A source claimed the disgraced royal planned on using his former tag in a “low-key” way once his older brother accepted his plea.

“It is more likely that he will just start using it again in a low-key way to test the waters — should he get the King’s consent,” the insider revealed, noting that there might not be an official announcement about the restoration of Andrew’s HRH title to avoid backlash.

For those unaware, the late Queen revoked her second son’s title and royal responsibilities in 2022 after discovering his scandalous ties to Jeffery Epstein. The royal’s controversial affair with the convicted sex offender began in 2019 following accusations from a woman named Virginia Giuffre.

This lady filed a sexual assault complaint against the royal in 2019, claiming Epstein forced her to have sex with the prince while still a minor. Although the Duke of York denied these speculations, he reached an out-of-court settlement with the alleged victim.
