Dr Fox advised BBC Information that Esa remained central to the endeavour. Certainly, it is seemingly Europe’s important contribution – the Earth Return Orbiter (ERO) – will nonetheless be launched, albeit at a barely later date than at present envisaged, presumably in 2030.
