REVERB options 18 installations together with new works by Theaster Gates, Es Devlin and Julianknxx, in addition to Devon Turnbull’s Hello-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1.
Theaster Gates, Devon Turnbull, Caterina Barbieri, Jeremy Deller, Carsten Nicolai, Es Devlin and Virgil Abloh will function as a part of REVERB, a significant multimedia exhibition exploring the intersection of artwork and sound curated by The Vinyl Manufacturing unit, opening at 180 Studios on 23 Might, 2024.
The most important present of its type, REVERB will deliver collectively over 100 artists and musicians working throughout visible arts, music, movie and dwell efficiency. Hello-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1, created by and programmed with New York artist Devon Turnbull, will create a meditative house throughout the exhibition to take heed to vinyl with an evolving programme of unheard music, together with unique check pressings and studio outtakes.
A large-ranging programme of dwell performances and talks may even happen alongside the exhibition. A brand new work by Theaster Gates, Amplified, will exist as a sonic set up in the course of the day and remodel into an area that hosts dwell performances by evening, with reveals by established and rising musicians recorded and pressed direct-to-disc on The Vinyl Manufacturing unit Lathe.
100 vinyl data created by artists and launched by The Vinyl Manufacturing unit may even be on show in a brand new house designed by Ben Kelly.
