All 79 areas of pharmacy and retail chain London Medicine have been shut down Sunday after it was the sufferer of a “cybersecurity incident.”
London Medicine introduced on social media that its shops throughout Western Canada have been closed as a result of an “operational difficulty” late Sunday morning Pacific Time.
Simply after 5 p.m., London Medicine launched an announcement saying it closed its areas “out of an abundance of warning” upon discovering the cybersecurity drawback.
“London Medicine instantly undertook countermeasures to guard its community and information, together with retaining main third-party cybersecurity consultants to help with containment, remediation and to conduct a forensic investigation,” it wrote.
The chain stated that it has “no cause to consider” buyer or worker information has been affected.
For anybody with pressing pharmacy wants, London Medicine says it has pharmacists on standby and asks clients to name their native retailer’s pharmacy to make any preparations.
There is no such thing as a estimated reopening time for the chain, which has areas in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
