Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading car manufacturer, has officially unveiled the fourth generation of the Swift in the country, with prices starting at Rs. 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest iteration of the popular hatchback comes with a range of enhancements, including a new petrol engine, alongside two custom accessory packages.
In terms of design, the 2024 Swift boasts refreshed front and rear bumpers, LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, a gloss black front grille, LED fog lights, and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Additionally, the car sports new LED taillights and introduces two new color options – Luster Blue and Novel Orange, expanding the existing palette of Sizzling Red, Pearl Arctic White, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver. For those seeking a more distinctive look, three dual-tone colors are available, featuring combinations like Lustre Blue with Midnight Black roof and Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof.
Inside the cabin, the fourth-gen Swift offers a revamped dashboard with Piano Black accents and Satin Matte Silver inserts, complemented by asymmetric dials for the instrument console. Tech-savvy features include a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen system, wireless charger, wireless phone mirroring, Suzuki Connect, rear AC vents, cruise control, keyless entry, and a reverse parking camera. Safety is prioritized with the inclusion of six airbags, ESP, brake assist, and three-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats.
Powering the 2024 Swift is a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z Series petrol engine generating 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual unit and an AMT unit. Customers can choose from five variants – LXi, VXi, VXi(O), ZXi, and ZXi+.
