The latest chapter in the rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar involves a cryptic social media post.
Drake, 37, posted to his Instagram account on Thursday for the first time since one of his security guards was critically shot in front of his Bridle Path mansion earlier this week.

It’s not clear whether Drake was home at the time of the shooting early Tuesday morning but police say they’ve increased their presence in the area since.

Drake and Lamar have released a number of diss tracks aimed at one another, each filled with allegations and personal insults and, in one instance, a Google Maps image of Drake’s mansion.

The security guard remains in hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries in the shooting. Police say shots were fired from a vehicle which then fled the scene and the incident remains under investigation.
Drake took to Instagram to share a scene from the Netflix miniseries A Man In Full. Jeff Daniels plays Charlie Croker in the series, a real estate mogul who defends his empire as he faces sudden bankruptcy.
In the clip, Croker appears to be dead while lying on the floor.
“I don’t mean this as a criticism,” Daniels says in a voice-over. “Maybe I do. But when you die, will people notice? When I go, there are gonna be a lot of memories of me by a lot of people, many who hate me. Even so, a person needs to live with vigour. Otherwise, what’s the point?”

Following Tuesday’s shooting, police were called to the home again on Wednesday following a report of someone trying to gain access to the estate. Police later said a “person in crisis” was arrested. On Thursday afternoon a second person was arrested after getting into an altercation with Drake’s security guards before police arrived.
The rap feud has also had some knock-on effects for a long-running Chinatown restaurant, New Ho King.
The restaurant was mentioned in Lamar’s diss track, Euphoria, and was later flooded with thousands of five-star Google reviews from Lamar’s fans. However, those reviews appear to have been deleted, with the newest reviews now pre-dating the release of Euphoria.
As of Friday morning, the restaurant was rated 3.8 stars on Google, with the latest review posted two weeks ago.
“Honestly one of the better places for Chinese food around,” wrote Ryan Labrie. “Their Chop Suey was fantastic.”
