On Monday, the Delhi Police received two calls, purportedly from Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, reporting an alleged assault at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence, as per India Today.
Sources revealed that the calls were made around 9 am, with the caller identifying herself as Swati Maliwal and alleging assault by the Chief Minister’s PA, Bibhav. However, confirmation of the incident can only be established upon filing a formal complaint, to which neither the AAP nor Maliwal have responded thus far.
The calls were traced back to the number associated with Maliwal, prompting the police to dispatch personnel to the chief minister’s residence. However, Maliwal was not present at the location. Reports suggest she may visit the Civil Lines police station to register a complaint.
Due to protocol, the Delhi Police are unable to enter the Chief Minister’s house without permission. Presently, authorities are probing the authenticity of the PCR calls and seeking further details on the incident. As of now, no written complaint has been lodged.
India Today TV attempted to reach out to Swati Maliwal for comment, but she was unavailable for a statement.
