Andhra Pradesh is poised for crucial elections as campaigning comes to a close, with Monday’s polls set to determine the state’s 25 Lok Sabha seats along with the 175-member legislature. The electoral battleground sees the YSRCP, TDP, and Janasena engaged in fierce competition for both Assembly and Lok Sabha seats.

A number of key constituencies in Andhra Pradesh will participate in today’s polls, including Araku (ST), Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Amalapuram (SC), Rajahmundry, Narsapuram, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Bapatla (SC), Ongole, Nandyal, Kurnool, Nellore, Thirupati (SC), Rajampet, Chittoor (SC), Hindupur, Anantapur, and Kadapa.
Voting will commence early in the morning and continue until late evening, allowing ample time for all eligible voters to cast their ballots. The Election Commission of India, in collaboration with various stakeholders, is tasked with ensuring the smooth conduct of the electoral process while upholding its impartiality and integrity.
The upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 4 in Andhra Pradesh will witness several crucial contests featuring candidates from diverse political backgrounds.
To maintain peace and order during the polls, the Election Commission has deployed 1.06 lakh security personnel, including 3,500 police officers from Karnataka, 4,500 from Tamil Nadu, 1,614 ex-servicemen, and 246 retired police officers.
Polling hours will generally run from 7 AM to 6 PM across the state, with few exceptions where voting may conclude one or two hours earlier.
Andhra Pradesh boasts a total of 4.14 crore voters, comprising 2.02 crore men, 2.1 crore women, 3,421 third gender voters, and 68,185 service electors.
