Music composer-actor GV Prakash Kumar and his wife, singer Saindhavi, have announced their separation after 11 years of marriage. The couple made the announcement just over a month ahead of their 11th wedding anniversary, urging the public to respect their privacy during this personal transition.
In a statement shared on their respective Instagram accounts, GV Prakash Kumar expressed, “After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other.” He also requested understanding and support from the media, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
Prakash and Saindhavi tied the knot in 2013, having been schoolmates. Their union brought forth a daughter named Anvi in 2020. The couple had collaborated on numerous musical projects, producing several chart-topping hits.
GV Prakash Kumar, who is the nephew of renowned music composer AR Rahman, has an extensive portfolio of films he is composing for in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, including projects like Vikram’s “Thangalaan,” Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency,” Akshay Kumar’s “Sarfira,” Nithiin’s “Robin Hood,” and more.
