Specialty broker Risk Strategies Co. said Tuesday it has acquired Silveus Insurance Group Inc., a crop broker based in Warsaw, Indiana.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Silveus, which has 108 employees, offers a range of crop coverages to farmers, including private crop insurance and coverage written through a federal crop insurance program.
Risk Strategies has launched a new agriculture industry vertical with the acquisition, John Mina, global CEO of Accession Risk Management Group, the parent company of Risk Strategies, said in a statement.
Private-equity-backed Risk Strategies, the operating name of RSC Insurance Brokerage Inc., is the 15th-largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
