Deodorant brand Denver has unveiled the latest phase of its “Scent of Success” campaign, starring South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu. This new ad promotes a broader definition of success, emphasizing values and humility over mere accomplishments. Associated with the brand since 2019, Babu represents the essence of a self-made man, symbolizing humility and empathy.
Saurabh Gupta, managing director and CEO of Hamilton Sciences, highlighted Babu’s embodiment of balance in success, stating, “Babu showcases this balance, sharing the message that no matter how high we rise, our values and humility keep us rooted. We are proud to collaborate with someone who inspires us to reach for the stars while keeping our feet firmly on the ground.”
In the brand film, Babu’s dialogue, “A person’s thinking determines their place in society; success should not go to your head,” encourages viewers to adopt a mindset of equality and compassion. The ad suggests that true success is reflected in one’s behavior towards others, advocating for respect irrespective of societal status.
Mahesh Babu expressed his alignment with the campaign’s values, stating, “Perfume is an essential part of grooming, which demonstrates discipline and attention to detail—qualities that contribute to personal and professional success. However, success is also defined by our behavior with others. Denver’s ‘Scent of Success’ campaign aligns perfectly with these values, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
The campaign sheds light on how societal hierarchy often influences interactions with service staff. While it remains debatable whether a deodorant can inspire humility, the campaign’s emphasis on treating everyone equally is a refreshing and appreciated message.
