Search efforts are underway for a Michigan man who went missing during an afternoon swim off of a boat on Lake St. Clair.
According to Essex County OPP, at around 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) in Trenton in regards to a swimmer who had jumped into the water from a pontoon boat and did not resurface.

A 28-year-old man from St. Clair, Mich. remains missing.
Members of the OPP Essex detachment, along with the OPP underwater search and recovery unit, the JRCC and the U.S. Coast Guard are searching for the missing man on Lake St. Clair.
Police said updates will be provided as they become available.
This is the second incident of swimmers going missing in Windsor-Essex waters in the last several days.

On Thursday, two men, ages 22 and 25, went missing after going for a swim at Sand Point Beach on the city’s east side, which is located near a dropoff to the Detroit River shipping channel.
Multiple officers were called to the scene, as were the Windsor police marine unit, the Canadian and U.S. Coast Guards, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, and Essex-Windsor EMS. Drones were also deployed to help aid police with the search.
Police found their bodies just before 8 p.m. Friday evening. The deaths of the two men are not being treated as suspicious.
