Porsche has globally unveiled the 2025 911 Facelift, focusing updates on the Carrera and GTS trims. Celebrated for its daily driving capabilities despite being a powerful supercar, the 911 now incorporates hybrid technology into its powertrain.
The updated 911 showcases subtle exterior design enhancements and upgraded cabin equipment. The Porsche 911 GTS, in particular, now features a 3.6-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder boxer engine paired with an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed PDK transmission. This electric motor adds 15 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, resulting in a combined output of 541 BHP and 610 Nm, marking an increase of 60 BHP and 40 Nm over the previous non-hybrid 3.0-liter engine. This hybrid system, including a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack, enables the GTS to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h. Additionally, it achieves a Nurburgring lap time of 7:17, improving by 8.7 seconds from the previous model.
The Carrera trim features a completely rebuilt 3.0-liter boxer engine with twin turbochargers and a new intercooler from the 911 Turbo, generating 394 HP and 450 Nm of torque.
For enhanced driving dynamics, the GTS trim includes standard rear-wheel steering and PASM sport suspension, riding 10 mm lower than the Carrera. Optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and wider tires with drag-reducing wheels further enhance performance.
Exterior updates for the 2025 911 include new LED Matrix headlamps, a revised bumper, larger active aero flaps on the GTS model’s front bumper, a connected tail lamp cluster, and a variable spoiler. The GTS also features a sport exhaust system. Interior updates include a choice between a 2-seat or 2+2 configuration, a 12.6-inch curved instrument display, and an upgraded 10.9-inch infotainment unit with easy access to drive modes and streaming capabilities while parked.
With these enhancements, the 2025 Porsche 911 Facelift combines performance, technology, and practicality, continuing its legacy as a versatile supercar.
