As anticipation builds for the Lok Sabha poll results on June 4, the Vadodara BJP is poised for potential changes within the party’s civic body leadership. Senior party leaders indicate that following complaints of discord between the elected and political wings, the BJP high command is seriously considering a reshuffle of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s (VMC) elected office-bearers.
Rumors have been circulating about the possible replacement of key figures, including the mayor and the Standing Committee chairman. Senior leaders suggest that such changes are “most likely” after the elections.
A senior member of the state executive highlighted the ongoing issues, stating, “Despite several warnings and meetings held by the state party president, the cold war between leaders persists. This infighting is damaging the party’s image. A decisive move to replace office-bearers might be necessary to resolve the internal conflicts within the unit.”
The potential shake-up aims to address the discord and restore harmony within the Vadodara BJP’s civic leadership.
