The Sea Eagles have reportedly launched a formal probe into the Titans following Des Hasler’s ugly split with the Manly club.
The Daily Telegraph are reporting the Sea Eagles have subpoenaed the Titans to provide phone records, emails and text messages regarding their dealings with Hasler.
Manly powerbrokers reportedly want to ascertain whether Titans bosses were aware of Hasler’s plans to put forward legal proceedings against the Sea Eagles.

The Manly club also want clarification regarding whether any communication occurred between Hasler and the Titans whilst he was still in charge at Brookvale.
Hasler’s contract with the Sea Eagles was terminated on October 13, 2022 following a turbulent season and consistent speculation surrounding his position.
Meanwhile, Hasler’s three-year contract with the Titans, with was announce in June 2023, shocked the rugby league world.
Following his Manly exile, Hasler put legal proceedings forwards against the club, with the civil matter set to be heard again in the NSW Supreme Court in June 7.
The Sea Eagles offered Hasler a $565,000 payout following his sacking, but Hasler is disputing thaty severance payment and is seeking a seven-figure sum.
Hasler and Manly bosses have reportedly held mediation talks, however they failed to reach an agreement with the rainbow jersey saga being a point of contention.

Hasler coached the Sea Eagles to two premierships in 2008 and 2011 before departing for the Bulldogs, then returning to Manly in 2019.
Hasler’s contract with the Sea Eagles had several clauses involved, with an extension being triggered until the end of the 2023 season due to a finals appearance in 2021.
He was reportedly set to earn $720,000 in 2023 and 2024, as well as a $200,000 ambassador role to be paid to a business he owned with his wife.
However, another clause was reportedly involved which meant that is Manly didn’t feature in the finals in 2022, they could sack Hasler and pay him a lump sum of money.
Those funds were reportedly equal to six months of his contract, alongside the ambassador payment.
