Sudhanshu Pandey has addressed the claims of being favoured by his producers, and rumours about him quitting the show.
Anupamaa enjoys a massive viewership in India. The daily soap is loved for its twists and turns, as well as the primary character, Anupama, played by Rupali Ganguly. While the entire storyline concentrates on Anupama’s life and the problems she confronts, the show’s other characters have also made headlines for their screen presence. Sudhanshu Pandey’s Vanraj Shah, which had a combination of good and bad, was both beloved by fans. Recently, the actor addressed claims of being favoured by his producers, and rumours about him quitting the show.
In conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sudhanshu Pandey addressed accusations about Anupamaa producers favouring him. The actor jokingly stated that had the producers favoured him, he would have been playing the role of Anupama instead of Rupali Ganguly.
On the other hand, when asked if he ever thought of quitting the popular show, which has gained him immense recognition, Sudhanshu stated, “Nahi, aisa toh nahi hua. Aisa kabhi nahi hua. Anupamaa chhordne ka toh maine kabhi kisiko bola bhi nahi, na kabhi aisa socha. Mujhe aisa lagta hai ki jis show ko humne banaya hai, itna khoon-paseena, mehnat karke humne uss show ko… Vanraj Shah ka character jo hai puri duniya mei itna iconic ban chuka hai (No, I have never thought of leaving the show. I have not said anything like that to anybody, nor have I ever thought of it. I think when we have put so much hard work to make this show, today Vanraj Shah’s character has become such an iconic character).” He added that since he has worked so hard to take this character forward, he is not ready to leave it when it is at its peak.
Sudhanshu added that the success of Anupamaa had much to do with the backdrop of the middle class house setup which made the audience relate more to the characters and their lives.
Sudhanshu Pandey has been in a lot of films and television shows during his decades-long career. He has been observed in Jersey, Singh Is Kinng, and Singham, among other places. While Sudhashu’s acting skills have undoubtedly captured the attention of many, he also has a devoted fan base that enjoys his singing ability. Sudhanshu was previously part of a music group called the Band of Boys.
