Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual, 34, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his former girlfriend multiple times. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the charges on Wednesday, which include one count of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent. If convicted on all charges, Pasqual faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.Pasqual allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend Allie Shehorn’s Los Angeles home at around 4:30 AM on May 23 and proceeded to stab her multiple times. Shehorn, who had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual, was hospitalized with critical injuries and has undergone multiple surgeries, including procedures to repair severed tendons in her right arm and close wounds in her neck. A GoFundMe page stated that Shehorn was “fighting for her life” after being in the intensive care unit for several days.Pasqual fled the city after the stabbing. He was detained at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Texas following the issuance of an arrest warrant. He will be extradited back to Los Angeles to face charges, with an arraignment date yet to be scheduled.The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the case. Shehorn has worked as a makeup artist on projects such as “Rebel Moon: Part 1,” “Mean Girls,” and “Babylon.” Pasqual appeared in “Rebel Moon: Part 1,” as well as “How I Met Your Mother” and “Archive 81.”District Attorney George Gascón expressed his sympathies for the victim and emphasized the support available from the Bureau of Victim Services.
