Jennifer Lopez was set to be heading across the United States and Canada but will now be spending her summer at home.
The 54-year-old’s highly anticipated This Is Me…Live tour was meant to begin in mere, kicking off with a first show in Orlando on June 26 and taking the superstar across North America before ending on August 31 in Houston.
However, Live Nation has now revealed that the Jenny From the Block hitmaker has opted to not just postpone but cancel all of her shows to instead spend the time “with her children, family and close friends”.
On her official website, the singer reached out to her understandably distraught fans with a heartfelt explanation.
The mother-of-two assured the decision was not an easy one to make and she feels “heartsick and devastated” thinking about the impact it will have on her countless fans.
She added: “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Eager concertgoers who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded while those who used third-party resale sites will need to reach out to their point of purchase for details.
The singer will be using her newfound free time to spend quality time with her blended family with her husband Ben Affleck.

Despite her heartfelt announcement, fans were quick to start theorizing that quality time with her family wasn’t the real reason Jennifer canceled her tour.
Following speculation about how turbulent her marriage with the Hollywood director is, some believed the singer had to be at home more to work on their relationship, with some sinister critics claiming she is taking time off “to get divorced.”
However, others claimed the “tickets weren’t selling” and slammed the pop star for “using your kids to lie.”
The tour was organized to accompany the Atlas star’s latest studio album, This Is Me…Now which was released in February and received some less-than-stellar reviews.
