Edgewater Homes has found the sweet spot for buyers looking for a new home that satisfies all the must-haves while remaining moderately priced.
The builder’s Bronx show home at 326 Chelsom Manor in Brighton is a 1,591 square-foot two-storey that makes the most of its modest footprint.
“The Bronx is the smallest model Edgewater builds as a two-storey, but it definitely hits the price point for people looking for more than just an entry-level home,” says Jamie Tait, the Realty Executives listing agent who represents Edgewater Homes.

The Bronx is a stylish addition to Edgewater Homes’ current portfolio of home plans, all featuring New York-inspired names: Queens, Chelsea, Escada, Rumley and Broadway.
The Bronx show home is sold but will remain open for public viewing until the end of June. “We’re sold out of move-in-ready homes, but we have 21 lots in Brighton where builds are in progress,” says Tait.
With floor plans already designated for the available lots, buyers can look forward to an accelerated move-in date. However, there is still the opportunity to personalize their choice of home.
“We’ll discuss the model they like and the lot they like. Then buyers have the freedom to pick their own flooring colours, cabinet finishes, paint colours and the style of the feature walls. We build the box and we help you colour inside and outside the lines. Edgewater has an interior designer on staff who will help guide you through the whole process to ensure your vision is realized.”
The Bronx show home demonstrates the higher standards that Edgewater Homes brings to the Saskatoon market, says Tait.
The home’s large foyer makes a great first impression, leading to a spacious open concept great room with nine-foot ceilings and large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the backyard. The focal point in the living room is a large linear electric fireplace, featuring a Craftsman-style custom millwork surround.

The kitchen is sure to please, with attractive cabinetry painted in a shade called Toasty Grey, complemented by gleaming white quartz counters and a white subway tile backsplash. The seven-foot island stands out in a contrasting dark wood grain finish. Large matte black dome pendant lights over the island add a touch of drama to the kitchen’s transitional style.
A large walk-through pantry with custom medium-density fibreboard (MDF) shelving leads to a handy mud room. Built-in bench seating and a feature wall with coat hooks makes this a functional and stylish drop-off point as you enter the home from the garage.
Three bedrooms are located on the home’s second floor. The spacious primary suite has an inviting ensuite, with not just one but two separate vanities.
“Having two vanities made smart use of the space that was available,” says Tait. The large walk-in shower is finished in white subway tile with crisp black accents.
The walk-in closet has its own window, flooding the space with natural light.
“In addition to the custom shelving in the walk-in closet, Edgewater added a built-in makeup desk. It gets so many positive comments,” says Tait.

Between the primary suite and the home’s two secondary bedrooms are a large four-piece bathroom and a convenient laundry closet. The laundry area will accommodate a stacked washer-dryer set and features built-in shelving.
While The Bronx model comes with lots of features that please the eye, it’s what you don’t see that’s even more impressive, says Tait.
“Edgewater’s quality of construction is above and beyond. For example, Edgewater builds all its homes with two-by-six construction, with 16-inch studs on centre throughout the build, instead of the standard 24 inches. The additional studs add strength. It’s how we feel a home should be built,” says Tait.
Edgewater also ensures their builds are energy efficient, using triple pane windows, the latest sprayfoam insulation technology, and a Tyvek exterior high performance home membrane system.
The builder’s outstanding reputation was affirmed in February 2023 when Edgewater was named the Certified Professional Homebuilder of the Year at the Housing Excellence Awards presented by the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association.

“Edgewater is an exceptional homebuilder,” says Tait. “People don’t always think about what they get after they move in. Edgewater has an excellent home delivery program and an outstanding warranty program. People appreciate having that peace of mind, knowing they’re getting a really good home and that people are here to take care of you.”
The Bronx show home at 326 Chelsom Manor is open for viewing until June 30. Show home hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For viewing by appointment, contact Jamie Tait at Realty Executives Saskatoon at (306) 203-0004.
