Cuff Bust has been officially revealed as the second title from solo developer 2 Star Games, creator of the viral horror sensation Choo Choo Charles. Players must work together in this manic multiplayer title to escape prison and live life to the fullest on the outside.
After a few fairly major announcements during Summer Game Fest 2024, host Geroff Keighley highlighted Cuff Bust, a multiplayer game from a solo indie developer that looks like it can offer all sorts of silliness for up to 20 players online. Players take on the role of Jailiens, creatures locked up in a facility somewhere on Earth, and must work together to escape their prison. The trouble is, they’re not the most coordinated bunch on the planet.
Mash heads on keyboards and blow prison guards sky high in your escape attempts in Cuff Bust
Unlike in other games where players must form an escape plan over days or weeks and gather the required tools for the job, Cuff Bust simply throws you into the role of a Jailien and asks you to get out of jail in any way you can think of.
Players can work together in teams of up to 20 people, attacking guards with bars of soap, accessing security systems by pounding their faces on keyboards, and blowing the riot police up with more explosives than a building should be able to contain.
