Ashok Elluswamy, renowned for his expertise in robotics engineering and extensive experience in computer vision and perception, as well as planning and control, shared his journey with Tesla’s Autopilot team on X.
Musk reiterated Elluswamy’s importance, highlighting him as the first engineer hired for Tesla’s Autopilot team. He emphasized the groundbreaking work accomplished by Elluswamy and the AI/Autopilot team, stating that without their contributions, Tesla would merely be seeking an autonomous supplier that does not exist.
