Aussie playwright, Angus Cerini’s dark and witty play, explores the challenging subject of domestic violence.
Set in rural Australia, it follows the story of a mother and her two daughters in a tale of survival and taking justice into their own hands. A gripping revenge drama about complicity, secrecy and resilience.
This UK premiere production is directed by Sophie Drake (Patriots, West End and Broadway) and produced by Jessie Anand Productions (This Might Not Be It, Bush Theatre).
Director Sophie Drake said, “This feels an important time to present a story that heralds female empowerment and complexity; adding to the canon of work that recontextualises our understanding of women and victimhood in a provocative and unconventional manner. Working with Mariah Gale, Elizabeth Dulau and Alexandra Jensen to sculpt this tale has been thrilling, it’s a haunting, visceral, irreverently funny play and I’m delighted to bring it to London audiences.”
