CANADIANS DESERVE TO KNOW

Re: Canada deserves to know; MPs spying on each other, but names kept secret, Brian Lilley column, June 5
Truer words were never spoken, and definitely before the next election those MPs who benefited from foreign interference should be made known to Canadians. This was a direct attack on our democracy and cannot be tolerated.
PM Justin Trudeau has in the past denied knowledge about Chinese interference in the 2019 election, and now the Trudeau government is refusing to tell Canadians which MPs were beneficiaries of foreign interference.
Former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole told the Foreign Interference Commission inquiry his party lost up to nine seats because of foreign interference.
Time for Trudeau to name those MPs.

ENTITLED TO KNOW WHO
Re: Canada deserves to know; MPs spying on each other, but names kept secret, Brian Lilley column, June 5
Foreign interference in Canadian political affairs has been confirmed multiple times and Justice Hogue’s final report is yet to come. Even worse, it has been revealed some members of Parliament have been identified as having knowingly worked for or in the interests of foreign entities.
Canadians, even their fellow MPs, are entitled to know who these possible quislings are, and be able to boot them unceremoniously from public office at the next election and isolate them now.
The ineffective Liberals refuse to name these MPs, citing nonsensical, inane reasons about not interfering with our security agencies. Nonsense! How would naming interfere? Why should government not direct certain actions of these agencies, just as they direct — at least at high levels if not more granularly — policies and activities in every other department and agency?

Furthermore, naming names does not reveal or jeopardize methods or sources. Who are the Liberals protecting? Who and what are they hiding from scrutiny?
More reasons why comrade Trudeau and his cadre of abettors need to go sooner than later.

MY OTTAWA MOTTOS
Re: DEACHMAN: A new motto for Ottawa? YOWsers have a tonne of suggestions, online, May 27
Regarding the above article, here’s my two cents worth: Ottawa, the fun and active capital or Ottawa, la capitale où règne la joie de vivre.
