Chennai, June 12, 2024: The Chennai city police have arrested four men in connection with the assault of three individuals at a hotel in Pulianthope. The incident occurred when B. Premkumar from Vyasarpadi and his friends visited a hotel on Ambedkar College Road and complained about stale meat in their biryani.
An argument ensued between Premkumar’s group and the hotel staff, leading to a physical altercation. During the dispute, the hotel staff allegedly assaulted Premkumar and his friends using a biryani ladle and a helmet. Premkumar sustained injuries and was subsequently taken to a hospital.
Following a complaint by Premkumar, the Pulianthope police registered a case and launched an investigation. The police have since arrested four hotel staff members: G. Bharath (27), A. Basha (32), M. Moideen (30), and Rafiullah Sherif (23) of Pulianthope. Authorities are continuing their search for additional suspects involved in the incident.
