My wife and I were privileged to be able to volunteer for the recent American Family Insurance Championship golf tournament. What a thrill to work with such an awesome event and amazing people.
Many of the finest golfers in the world came to University Ridge in Madison to help raise millions of dollars to support the American Family Children’s Hospital and many other charities throughout the greater Madison area.
Not only was it a wonderful experience to work with well over 1,000 other volunteers to make this event an experience we will never forget, but it was also humbling to be part of such a tremendous opportunity to help thousands of families have healthier, happier and more productive lives.
Many people worked for weeks and even months in an effort to allow this remarkable event to become a reality. But special commendations go to the tournament coordinator, Gail Perla, who spent countless hours organizing the volunteers throughout the entire week and months prior to the event. Her vast ability to plan, assign, organize and direct the volunteers was truly remarkable. Thank you.
