It’s expensive to run a news outlet, even in a small place like Perry County. Maybe especially in a place like Perry County. We have a paywall that kicks in after you read a certain number of stories, but we try to keep the settings so that people are still able to follow the news in their community without a lot of hassle. We believe community journalism is important, but part of how it works is by allowing people access to it.
