Qilin, a Russian-speaking ransomware hacking group, has demanded a ransom payment of $50 million from U.K.-based pathology services provider Synnovis Group LLP, and has threatened to post the stolen data online if its conditions are not met, Candid.Technology reported citing Bloomberg. Qilin suffered a cyber assault on June 4, which severely disrupted its services at multiple hospitals in London. The attack crippled essential computer systems used to provide critical blood-testing and transfusion services to National Health Service and clinics.
