Severe floods triggered by torrential rains have caused massive damage in China’s historic Huangshan city and prompted the evacuation of more than 10,000 people, South China Morning Post reported. The heavy rain and floods destroyed a bridge, damaged electricity lines, closed nine provincial roads and 41 village roads and halted 170 bus services. The extreme weather also forced the suspension of ferry operations.
