It has just been a week ever since Bigg Boss OTT 3 premiered on Jio Cinema. But, it is already buzzing with drama. Among the contestants, Sai Ketan Rao has been winning the hearts of the audience. In a new promo shared on Instagram, the actor can be seen discussing his childhood days. Speaking with his fellow housemates, Sai was left teary eyed as he shed light on the situation. In a heartbreaking revelation, the Imlie actor shared that his father abandoned the family.
Recalling his tough phase as a child, Sai Ketan Rao shared, “After my dad left, mom faced harassment from her in-laws, as they used to question us a lot. But we grew out of it and fought back. My mom and I have gone through a lot together. During tough days, we even slept on railway tracks.”
He added, “Mom used to work multiple jobs to make ends meet while raising two kids. Slowly we grew financially, but it was a tough ride.” Hearing his story, Chandrika and Deepak consoled him and told him not to feel saddened by his past but to be proud of where he has come now.”
Not many are aware of Sai Ketan Rao’s first career choice. The talented star wanted to be a doctor at first. But, the financial crises did not allow him to pursue his career in the medical field. Later, he switched to engineering. After completing graduation from a reputed college, he started inclined towards acting.
Talking about the phase, Sai Ketan Rao said, “My mom was initially against me acting as it is an unstable career. She wanted me to pursue an MBA and take a corporate job. It took me eight months to convince her, after which I went to film school in Hyderabad to kickstart my acting career.”
Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor has been roped in to host the controversial reality show, featuring sixteen celebrities. Among the contestants who entered the house alongside Chandrika Dixit, Shivani Kumari, Sana Makbul, Armaan Malik, Payal Malik, Kritika Malik, Naezy, Sana Sultan Khan, and Ranvir Shorey among others.
