The ongoing illegal blockades staged by unionized workers at ArcelorMittal S.A.’s facilities in Michoacan have forced the company to stop producing at least 500,000 tons of steel, BNamericas reported. The strike started on May 24 due to a disagreement over profit distribution with around 3,000 employees of section 271 of the National Union of Mine, Metal, Steel and Allied Workers of the Mexican Republic.
