Designed to “engage residents” with activities and entertainment, the Regina Farmers’ Market (RFM) has announced the return of its satellite markets at the new Kiswehap Park in the Eastbrook on the Greens neighbourhood.
To be held on Thursday evenings from July 4 to Sept. 12, the Satellite Farmers’ Markets “aim to build community and improve the accessibility of locally produced food in Regina.”

They began in 2023.
“These smaller, more residentially located markets act as a ‘satellite’ of RFM’s primary locations with the goal of bringing the community together to deliver fresh, locally produced, nutritious food right into residents’ backyards,” stated a news release issued Thursday.
Located at the corner of E. Kaufman Avenue and Chuka Boulevard, Kiswehap Park has an amphitheatre, community fire pits, public art installations, Ping-Pong and chess tables, free Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, and more, the release notes. It was chosen for its amenities and the “potential to create a vibrant community hub.”
Markets will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. To kick off the season, the Ben Winoski Project (characterized as Latin instrumental guitar music) will perform in the amphitheatre on July 4 and the Saskatchewan Science Centre will host Science in the Park on July 11.
The RFM is a non-profit co-op governed by producers and has been operating since 1975. In April, the organization announced it was moving its Saturday markets to REAL District’s Confederation Park (between Mosaic Stadium and the Brandt Centre) starting in May.
