Seventy-three people — including 46 already wanted and 27 for drug offences — were arrested during Project FOCUS in Toronto.

The police crackdown was in response to community concerns about street-level criminal activity and included arrests between Nov. 20, 2023, and Canada Day. Toronto’s Police’s 55 Division conducted the project.
The intelligence-driven response focused on the South Riverdale neighbourhood and Danforth Ave., particularly around the intersections of Greenwood Ave. and Main St.

Project FOCUS also included 95 liquor licence enforcement checks and 16 liquor licence charges against establishments.
The total weight of drugs seized was 1,556.52 grams of cocaine, 610.08 grams of Fentanyl, 5,063.21 grams of Methamphetamine, 439.71 grams of Oxycondon, and 5,063.21 grams Psilocybin Mushroom.
