Chubb Ltd. Wednesday named David Lupica as vice president, Chubb Group, and division president of Westchester, the insurer’s wholesale excess and surplus lines business in North America.
Mr. Lupica succeeds Scott Meyer, who on Tuesday was named senior vice president, Chubb Group, and chief operating officer of Chubb’s general insurance business in North America in a series of executive leadership changes.
Mr. Lupica, who was previously chief operating and distribution management officer at Westchester, reports to Mr. Meyer and Jan Luis Ortega, executive vice president, Chubb Group, and president, North America insurance.
Also Wednesday, Ana Robic and Ben Rockwell were promoted to senior vice president, Chubb Group.
Ms. Robic, a 2016 Business Insurance Women To Watch honoree, retains her current role as division president, North America personal risk services. Mr. Rockwell retains his current role as division president, North America middle market.
They continue to report to Mr. Ortega and Mr. Meyer.
In addition, Jason Ranucci, current global chief underwriting officer, small commercial, was named head of North America lower middle market.
Mr. Ranucci succeeds Jeffrey Updyke, who is taking on the newly created role of executive vice president, North America commercial insurance and digital distribution.
Mr. Ranucci will continue to have executive underwriting responsibilities for the small commercial business and reports to Mr. Rockwell. Mr. Updyke reports to Christopher Maleno, recently named senior vice president, Chubb Group, and vice chairman, North America insurance.
John DePeters was named chief underwriting officer, small commercial. Mr. DePeters previously was senior vice president, underwriting & portfolio management, small commercial. He reports to Mr. Ranucci and to Robert Poliseno, division president of North America small commercial insurance and president of North America digital.
