Mumbai, India: International celebrities Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian landed in Mumbai on July 11 to attend the upcoming wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, set to take place over three days starting July 12. They join a host of other prominent guests who have arrived for the grand affair.
According to sources close to the event, Kim Kardashian is expected to wear a traditional lehenga designed by Tarun Tahiliani for the wedding ceremony. This marks the first visit to India for both Kim and Khloe Kardashian.
Earlier celebrations included the mameru ceremony, held recently, where the groom’s maternal family bestowed blessings and well wishes upon the couple through traditional gifts. Prior to this, the star-studded sangeet on July 5 featured performances by Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh. The haldi ceremony, attended by various actors and personalities, took place on July 8.
The wedding festivities will commence with ‘Shubh Vivaah’ on July 12, followed by ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13, and culminate in ‘Mangal Utsav’ or the wedding reception on July 14. An additional reception is planned on July 15 specifically for the employees of Reliance Jio.
The Ambani-Merchant wedding promises to be a lavish affair, attracting attention from both local and international media, with numerous celebrities and dignitaries in attendance.
