Emerging alt-R&B talent ERLY has shared new single ‘Famous’.
The songwriter was born into a military family, but their home was perpetually full of music – think classic soul, blues, funk, and a dose of jazz, and you wouldn’t be far off. These sounds seeped down into ERLY’s soul, so when it came time for him to begin writing he had an imagination fuelled by the greats.
Real name Titus Makin, his initial DIY recordings showed incredible promise. Inking a publishing deal with Kobalt Music, his profile has exploded, resulting in some high-profile recording guests.
Working with the likes of Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire and renowned producer Neal Pogue (OutKast, Steve Lacy, Tyler the Creator, Janelle Monáe, Kaytranada, Doja Cat), this precocious voice has translated his promise into something real.
