Obituary for Rebecca “Peggy” Dillehay
Rebecca Dale “Peggy” Dillehay, 84, of Springfield and formerly of Adairville, KY, passed from this life on Tuesday July 9, 2024, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted Friday July 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Freudenthal officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY, with Timmy Engler, Tommy Engler, J.R. Traughber, Matthew Traughber, Michael Cohea, and Matthew Cohea serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Traughber, Lynn Traughber, Michael Traughber, Eddie Traughber, John Traughber, Bruce Traughber, Paul Traughber, Jeff Traughber, Seth Getchell, and Jackie Engler. The family received friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Ms. Peggy was born June 25, 1940, in Adairville, KY, to the late John Price and Mary Azalee Allen Garrison. She was a graduate of Adairville High School Class of 1959, was a homemaker, was a past member of the Logan County Home Demonstration Club and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Adairville, KY. Ms. Peggy loved cooking, sewing, crafts, gardening, reading, and watching her soap operas on TV, especially Days Of Our Lives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Russell Ray Dillehay, and by her siblings: Ernest Garrison, Robert Garrison, William Garrison, and Marie Traughber. Ms. Peggy is survived by her son: Brian Dillehay of Clarksville, by her daughter: Leigh Ann Dillehay of Springfield, and by her grandchildren: Katie Dillehay, Sarah Parkhurst, Emily Dillehay, and Larkin Shoulders.

Obituary for Nancy Morris
Nancy Ruth Morris, age 76 of Pleasant View, Tennessee died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Thursday, July 18th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with her son, Randy Hester, and her grandson, Jeffrey Hester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bearwallow Community Cemetery in Ashland City with Ben Hester, Bradley Brown, Tyler “T-Bone” Brown, Troy Hull, Charlie Binkley, and Michael Mealer serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 17th from 4:00-8:00PM, and again on Thursday beginning at 10:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mrs. Nancy was born on August 8, 1947 in Pleasant View to the late Alonzo & Mary Nancy Girard Orange. She loved tobacco farming and was a retired florist from the Cheatham County Florist. She was a Christian.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Buford, Jimmy, and Jody Orange; and sister, Gail Palmore.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Morris, Jr; sons, Robert (Iris) Hester, and Randy (Tammy) Hester; daughter, Pam “Sissy” Brown; grandchildren, Jessi (Michael) Mealer, Ben (Aliyah) Hester, Jeffrey (Kyla) Hester, Danielle (Troy) Hull, Bradley (Allison) Brown, and Tyler “T-Bone” (Cara) Brown; and nine great-grandchildren; and step-daughter, Christy Daniel.

Obituary for Ann Sory Dean
Ann Sory Broadrick, age 72, of Greenbrier, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. Born on October 20, 1951, in Springfield, Tennessee, Ann was the beloved daughter of Neoma Sory and William McCoy Broadrick.
Ann’s life will be honored and remembered in a funeral service on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 1pm at the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral in Springfield. The service will be officiated by Brother Jon Briggs. Following the service, Ann will be laid to rest in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Those who knew Ann are invited to gather and pay their respects on Wednesday from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Neoma and William, and her sister, Marion Faye Hiett. She is survived by her loving son, William Ronald Dean, her grandchildren, Dustin Dean, Bailee Dean, Cassidy Dean Hornsby, and Makenzie Dean, and her great-grandchildren, Brylee Dean, Riley Hornsby, and Leo McQueeney.
Ann will be remembered for her kindness, her nurturing spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends throughout her life.
Ann’s legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Marty was born on December 4, 1964 in Springfield, Tennessee to Rachel Rountree Nicholson, and the late Willie Howard “Wimp” Nicholson. He was a retired tobacco farmer; and loved the outdoors spending time hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a Christian. Marty never met a stranger and was “one of a kind”.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Nicholson.

Obituary for Neoma Sory Broadrick
Neoma Sory Broadrick, age 89, of Greenbrier, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Her life will be celebrated in a funeral service on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 1pm at the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral in Springfield, officiated by Brother Jon Briggs. Following the service, Neoma will be laid to rest in Springfield Memorial Gardens.

Born on October 30, 1934, in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, Neoma devoted over 40 years of her life to Hinkle Chair Company, where her dedication and hard work were admired by all who knew her. Outside of work, she found immense joy in her passions: tending to her beloved garden, cherishing moments with her family, and searching for treasures at yard sales.
Neoma was preceded in death by her loving husband, William McCoy (Bill) Broadrick, and her daughter, Marion Hiett, parents Alfard Troy Stark and Mary Ellen Stack, and sisters Helen Wood and Lucy Hughes. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Ann Sory Dean; grandchildren, William (Billy) Ronald and Amanda Dean, Britany Hiett Ramlow; great-grandchildren, Dustin Dean, Bailee Dean, Cassidy Dean Hornsby, and Makenzie Dean; as well as great-great-grandchildren, Brylee Dean, Riley Hornsby, Jenevieve Ramlow, and Leo McQueeney.
Neoma’s kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her infectious laughter, and the wisdom she imparted to those around her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.

Joyce Reid Kirkland Qualls, age 90, of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother James Shoulders and Brother Frankie Kirby officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 4-7pm and again on Tuesday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mrs. Qualls was born May 6, 1934 in Springfield to the late Otis Lee and Ester Eden Reid. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Adams Craft Club and she loved dancing and playing cards at the Senior Citizens’ Center.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Qualls is preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Neely E. Kirkland and her second husband of 25 years, James Qualls. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Reid, sisters, Bobbie Keith, Beverly Pully and Dorothy Porter, and her grandchild, Gabriel Jones.
Mrs. Qualls is survived by her son and his partner, Tommy Kirkland and Donna Butler, of Fairhope, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Steve Cherry of Springfield; sister, Sammie Morris of Springfield; grandchildren, Fred (Jo) Wix, Meranda (Tony) Lambert, Kelli (Brandon) Douglas, Kimberly (Clifton) Goodwin, and Shawn (Craig) Jones; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Dorothy Ann Harris
Dorothy Ann Hemmer Harris, age 90, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Dividing Ridge Road, Goodlettsville, with Jeff Whitaker, Michael Conquest, Chris Conquest, Guy Conquest, Steven Crossland and Dustin Hutcherson serving as pallbearers. Stephanie Crossland Hayes, Ara Farmer Watts, Markie Farmer Hayes, Eric Hayes, Lee Watts, Ross Hayes and Melaney Murphy are serving as honorary pallbearers.
Dot was born July 9, 1934 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Clarence Edward and Stella Marie Dickens Hemmer. She attended East High School in Nashville and sang on WKDA radio station in a trio in her younger years. Dot retired with 21 years of service from the US Postal Service as a City Mail Carrier in Goodlettsville. She met many people and cherished memories from those days. Dot relocated with her husband/fishing partner to Paris TN. For the next 25 years they enjoyed fishing, traveling, and joined Point Pleasant Baptist Church in Paris Landing. They were actors in the Living Pictures of Easter for several years and participated in many other church functions. Dot loved to sing and sang many specials at church and family events over her lifetime. She was a devote Christian, read her bible every morning and she prayed many times during the day and always before a meal. She attended Springhill Baptist Church in Goodlettsville and loved her church family.
In her spare time, she loved sewing, working jigsaw puzzles, reading, fishing, gardening and feeding the wildlife. Over her lifetime she was an exceptional cook and took pride in her hand sewn gifts to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Dot is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald Travis Harris, Sr., brother, Ronald Hemmer and half-sister, Eddie Clair. Dot is survived by her sons Randy Crossland (Christine Murphy) of Fairview, TN; and Travis Harris aka Patch (Shelley) of Goodlettsville; daughters Barbara Duke of Nashville, Anita Conquest (Jeff Hornbuckle) of Goodlettsville; Donna Harris Thomas (Mark) of Calhoun, LA; and Faye Harris of Goodlettsville; Sister-in-law Betty Brown Hemmer, 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Of her many accomplishments, the proudest were her 6 children and their families, who feels so blessed to have the honor to call her mom, granny and granny2.
She was loved by so many people and left a trail of awesome memories. She will be remembered and forever missed.

Obituary for Jean Vick
Jean Williams Vick passed away on July 11, 2024 at her home in Whites Creek, Tennessee after a lengthy illness. She was born in Dickson, Tennessee on June 2, 1951 and moved with her family to Nashville shortly thereafter.
In Nashville Jean attended Maplewood High School during which time she co-founded the all-girls band The Feminine Complex. She earned the nickname “Cool Jean on the Bass” as she played the bass guitar, sang, and authored several songs on their debut album Livin’ Lovin’ at Athena Records.
After her brief music career Jean was employed at J.C. Bradford & Co. where she rose to the position of Investment Limited Partner. Upon leaving Bradford, Jean attended and graduated from Asbury College (now University) in Wilmore, Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Bible and Theology.
Following college Jean felt a call to serve at Vanderbilt University Medical Hospital as a Guest Services representative where she shared her faith in God and love for people. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church at her passing.
Jean was preceded in death by parents Henry and Ella Mai Williams, spouse Daniel McKinney and sister Marsha Williams.
Jean is survived by her husband of nearly 29 years Joe R. Vick, daughter Nicole (Raymond) Crump, step-children; Joey (Jamie) Donoho, Lisa (David) Smith, Angie (Tommy) Ham, Marsha (Greg) Gilbert, and Michael (Kylie) Vick, a sister Janice Chandler, grandsons; Nicholas and Joseph Crump, 11 step-grandchildren , 6 step-great grandchildren, 3 nieces, a nephew, cousins, her teacup poodle Ellie, and many friends.
The family would like to thank Visiting Angels-Nashville and Alive Hospice for the compassionate care provided Jean at the end of her illness.
Visitation with family will be on Monday July 15, 2024 from 3:00 until the time of service at 6:00 PM at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, TN. conducted by Jean’s pastor Dr. Rev. Tommy Clark.
Jean’s favorite color was red and the family invites everyone to wear something red to the visitation.
A private burial will follow at Harpeth Hills.

Obituary for Evan Duane Curtis
Evan Duane Curtis, age 90, loving father and grandfather, of White House went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Hendersonville Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1934 in Tompkinsville, KY to Walter Vernie & Flora Mae Bartley Curtis. Mr. Curtis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1994, after 36 years of dedicated serviced service as a sales representative for U.S. Tobacco. He enjoyed the fellowship of his friends as part of the Breakfast Club at Hardee’s in White House. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and was also a NASCAR fan, especially if his favorite driver, Harry Gant. was competing. He loved playing cards with his church friends and was affectionately known as “the candy man” because he gave out candy to all of the children and many others as well. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, watching The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune, eating Little Debbie snack cakes and visiting The Mint at Kentucky Downs for a little gambling. The thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jackie Curtis; daughter, Renee Priest; 2 brothers, Ralph and Leroy Curtis. He is survived by his son, Tommy (Vera) Curtis, Orlinda, TN; mother of his children and lifetime friend, Nina Curtis; brothers, Randall Curtis, Tompkinsville, KY and Jacob (Charlene) Curtis, Bowling Green, KY; sister, Tildon Murphy, Tompkinsville, KY; 7 grandchildren, Chrissy (Brandon) Shanks, Ashley (Dave) Thompson, Paige (Paul) Bryant, Caity (Tyler) Yokley, Matt Priest, Chelsea (Terrence) Kirk and Ryker Curtis; 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Barnes was born on December 26, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Bruce & Mildred Downs Patton. She was a homemaker and worked as an accounts receivable clerk in the finance business. She also worked for Greylines Tours, Opryland, and as the Ashland City Methodist Church Secretary. She loved to fish, travel, and spoil her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Patton.

Michael Simpson Resor “Mike”, age 70, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, died Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Skyline Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, July 27th, at his residence.
Mr. Resor was born on October 20, 1953, in Galion, Ohio, to the late Gloyd & Lucille Simpson Resor. He was a truck driver and retired from Electrolux after 10 years of service. Mr. Resor was a Christian who enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Pam Resor; son, Jacob Resor; daughters, Jessica (Rick) Ammerman and Lori Hawk; brother, Alan (Kathy) Resor; sister, Dede Gronlund; and grandchildren, Mallory & Madelyn Choe.

Rhonda was born July 31, 1962, in Springfield. She was a jack of all trades and could do anything that she wanted to. Her primary professional was roofing and she was of the Baptist faith. Rhonda was a very independent woman that loved watching the news, fishing, her cats, and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. She was a great mother, grand and great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father: Robert Everett Woodard, and by her brothers: Timothy, Dale, and Dean Woodard. She is survived by her daughters: Amanda Ferrell of Springfield, Crystal Williams of Cross Plains, Jennifer Mayes of Chattanooga, and Stephanie (Lee) Robertson of Greenbrier, by her son: Cory Ferrell of Adolphus, KY, by her mother: Helen Henderson Bunch of Oneida, by her sister: Dawn Woodard of Oneida, by her companion in life: James Smith of Dayton, OH, by her seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and by her two great grandchildren that are soon to be born.

Monty F. Stewart, age 74 of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 12:30 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Jones and Pastor Randy Franklin officiating. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery with Scott Swann, Ty Austin, Tommy Hallman, Blake Hollingsworth, D.J. Wilkins, Cody Wilkins, Brandon Thomas, Lee Stewart, Dylan Hunter, and Blake Stewart serving as pallbearers. Monty was born June 27, 1950 in Dickson to the late James Blake and Wilma Glenn Fussell Stewart. He was a member of Springfield First United Methodist Church and the Robertson County Fair Board Association. He graduated from Austin Peay State University where he was a member of the ATO Fraternity. He was a salesman for many years at Unarco and before that with Nasco. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed working on the farm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Terry and Scotty Stewart.
Surviving Mr. Stewart is his wife, Pam Gower Stewart of Springfield; son, Montana Blake Stewart of East Nashville; daughter, Darby Stewart Lopes of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Lennyn Stewart, Londyn Stewart, Britton Lopes, Bristol Lopes, and Willow Lopes; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Debbie Stewart of Charlotte; and sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Mike Hunter of Charlotte. Jerry Arlene Vanderpool, a beloved retired supervisor for Metro Water and dedicated part-time worker at Sweet and Sassy Bakery and Goodlettsville Drug Store, passed away on July 4, 2024 She was known for her incredible cooking skills that turned every meal into a grand banquet for her family.
Born on December 20, 1938, Jerry Arlene Vanderpool was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in crocheting, sewing, coloring, and cooking, infusing love and care into everything she created. Her proudest accomplishments were not professional milestones but the relationships she nurtured with her grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as “Granny”.
Described as caring with a spitfire attitude, Jerry Arlene Vanderpool was a loving mother and grandmother who touched the lives of many. Her vibrant personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jerry Arlene Vanderpool is survived by Jesse (Sandra) James; grandchildren Patti Renfro, Jesse D. (Kati) James, and Ashley Hunt; and great-grandchildren Kaden Renfro, David Hunt, and Jonathan Carnell. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Vanderpool, daughter Vickie Renfro, and siblings Evelyn, Ulan, Ralph, and Lavon.
Services to celebrate the life of Jerry Arlene Vanderpool were held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in White House, TN. Visitation took place on July 8th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on July 9th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 11:00 AM with a family graveside followed at 1PM

Sue Ann Potts, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Born July 14, 1934, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Thomas Sprouse and Birdie Alma Garrett Sprouse.
Sue will always be remembered for her caring nature and wonderful cooking that was passed down from her mother and grandmother.
Beyond her culinary talents, Sue found joy in caring for her family. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication made her the cornerstone of her family’s life. She had a knack for creating beautiful porcelain dolls and sewing clothing for her children, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured for generations. Her family finds comfort in knowing that Sue was a woman of strong Christian faith. Her love and devotion for Jesus Christ leave them no doubt as to where she has gone on to.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Bobby Potts; son Bobby Lee (Lisa) Potts, Jr.; daughters Sharon Lynn (Don) Fanning and Karen (Scott) Proctor; sister Carolyn Johnson; brother Tommy Sprouse; sister Anita Horton; grandchildren Chad (Sally) Potts, Katie (Tanner) Glenn, John Luke Proctor, Willow Elaine Proctor, Kaitlyn (Alex) Greenway; great-grandchildren Holden and Emma Glenn.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Meadows.

Barbara “Annette” Lindamood, age 85, of Alexandria, Tennessee, formerly of Pleasant View, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.
A Celebration of Life was conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 6:00PM on Tuesday, July 9th, with Pastor Corbin Madden officiating.

Ms. Lindamood was born on June 8, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Robert “Elmer” & Hazel Sterry Felts. She was a retired inventory clerk from United Methodist Publishing House. She was also a founding member of West End Free Will Baptist Church in Springfield.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Kaye Felts; and grandson, Scotty Woods.
Survivors include her son, Tim Lindamood; daughters, Lisa Lindamood and Danita Lock (Steve) Caswell; grandsons, Logan Lindamood and Michael Woods; and several nieces and nephews.

Vera “Diane” Watts, age 74, of Greenbrier, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted at 12pm Saturday, July 6th in the Austin & Bell Funeral Home chapel in Greenbrier with Pastor Kenny Peters and Deacon Steve Sorrells officiating. Burial followed in the Greenbrier Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends from 10am until time of the service at 12pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Watts was born November 5, 1949, in Macon, GA, to the late James Thomas and Vera Walker Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Greenbrier First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Watts is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward “Eddie” Watts; brother, Tom (Phyllis) Thomas; nephews, Steven Thomas, and Chris Thomas; and a niece, Kelsey White.

Mrs. Kimbrough was born on July 26, 1967 in Franklin, Kentucky to the late Roger Thomason & Joyce Cline LaLone. She worked in the auto industry as an office manager but then retired from Krantz furniture. She loved her flowers and gardening. Her greatest joy in life were her family, grandchildren and her dachshund dogs. She was a member of Clarksville Highway Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Pam Thomason and Judy McCord; and a nephew, Mark McCord, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Garth Kimbrough; sons, Garth (Jenny) Kimbrough, III, David Kimbrough, Dustin (Ariel) Clark and Dillon Clark; brothers, Charles Thomason and Mike LaLone; grandchildren, Nic Kimbrough, Kayden Berry, Nella Berry, Logan Berry and Vaughan Kimbrough, IV; nieces, Amber McCord and Jody LaLone; and life long friends, Sherri Patchen, Beverly Russell and Tammy French.

Ruby Nell Groves, age 93 of Joelton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 6th, with Pastor Johnny Hayes officiating. Burial followed in Neptune-Smith Cemetery with Dell Kilgore, Jimmy Knight, Randy Fuqua, Lonnie DeMumbrum, Ben Franklin, and Jason Franklin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Herbert Anderson and Kelly Kilgore.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 5th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Saturday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at 10:00AM.
Mrs. Groves was born on April 27, 1931 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late Tommie & Tennie Shaw Perry. She and her husband William Preston Groves owned and operated The Hungry Pig on Highway 12 in Cheatham County. She was always caring and giving and you never left her home empty handed. She was the best cook in Tennessee, known for her chicken and dumplings, cornbread dressing, and pecan pies. She never met a stranger and will be missed by many friends who called her Aunt Ruby Nell. She was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Preston Groves, her second husband, Raymond Ray; brothers, Robert Thomas Perry, Roy E. Perry, James M. Perry, Herbert Perry; sisters, Johnnie Mae Harris, Emma Lou Hampton & Dorothy Marie Crickett Smock; nieces, Barbara Licciardi and Glenda Cripps; and nephews, Gene Harris and Little John Hampton.
She is survived by her nephews, Herbert (Bertha) Anderson and Jay (Tracey) Perry; nieces, Judy (Randy) Fuqua, Brenda (Randy) Jones, Linda (Johnny) Hayes, Jenniffer (Ben) Franklin, Terri Lynn (Lonnie) DeMumbrum, Tracey (Greg) Trebon; and many great nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Mrs. Walker was born on July 15, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Edward & Geraldine Ferguson Glymp. She worked for CGS insurance company for over 30 years. She was a hard worker, cared for other people in need and a very giving person. She was loved by many, and in turn loved her family and grandchildren very much and just enjoyed life to the fullest.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Walker; and a son Dewey Clay Tucker.
Survivors include her step-sons, Rodney and David Walker, Jr.; sisters, Cynthia and Tina Glymp; and grandchildren, Chad Tucker, Kayla Tucker, Nikki (Zack) Nunley, Will Walker, and Fallon Walker.
