Keely Hodgkinson has embraced comparisons with Jessica Ennis-Hill, claiming she is ‘privileged’ to be compared to the legend as a ‘poster-girl’ for Team GB’s middle-distance running hopes.
She said: ‘If anyone sees me as the poster girl like she was [Jessica Ennis-Hill] then that’s quite the achievement. I’m privileged to be in this position. And it’s quite a tribute to follow in her footsteps. Hopefully I can go on and do what she did and bring home the gold.’
