U.S.-based Sixth Street Partners LLC has signed an agreement to acquire Bermuda-based insurer Enstar Group Ltd. for $5.1 billion, with Liberty Strategic Capital, J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC, and other institutional investors participating in the transaction, Reuters reported. The deal is expected to close in the middle of 2025.
