Two lawyers’ heads are spinning after they say “Exorcist” film star Linda Blair stopped communicating with them as they defend her and her nonprofit organization against a dog attack lawsuit, according to a report by InTouch.
The attorneys from the Los Angeles-based firm Manning Gross & Massenburg LLP say Ms. Blair has not provided critical information about her insurance coverage, namely policies and insurers, that is necessary to defend a lawsuit alleging that two of her pitbulls attacked a miniature horse in November 2022, the publication said.
Stephanie and Edgar Najar sued Ms. Blair and her nonprofit, Worldheart Foundation, in Los Angeles County Superior Court in June 2023. The couple contends that Ms. Blair’s pitbulls wandered onto their property and attacked their miniature horse, resulting in injuries to its face.
Ms. Blair founded Worldheart Foundation to rehabilitate abused animals.
The lawyers told the judge that Ms. Blair stopped communicating with them on Feb. 26, making representing her against the lawsuit impossible, InTouch reported.
