- Black Border 2 is the sequel to surprise hit Black Border Patrol Simulator
- Police the border of a country, rooting out smugglers and more
- Pre-registration now open on Android
The life of a border guard is fraught and hectic. Even at the best of times, you have to keep an eye on people skirting the rules, intentionally or unintentionally. And at the worst of times, your simple job of enforcing the rules can cross legal and ethical boundaries. Sound fun? Well if it does, you’re in luck, you strange person, as Bitzoom Game Studios have announced the sequel to their hit border patrol game, Black Border 2.
The original Black Border has since accrued 2 million downloads, and given that the game confesses to being heavily inspired by the infamously addictive Papers, Please, it’s no surprise that’s the case. After all, there’s something incredibly intriguing about the ins and outs of everyday life (and the struggle to survive) somewhere as tense as the border of a dystopian state.
You can check out gameplay from the original Black Border below.
Life on the edge
To that end, Black Border 2 looks to offer a more aesthetically consistent look to the game. Out are the weird, slightly clip-art characters and in is something that looks akin to Valiant Hearts. It certainly looks grimmer despite this, and we wouldn’t be surprised if there are some tough choices to be made in the course of your duties.
You’ll be able to find out for yourself when Black Border 2 releases, pre-registration for Android is open now.
