Samantha Irvin has delivered the perfect response after leaving WWE fans stunned with a nude selfie.
Every Wednesday the Raw ring announcer, who is engaged to wrestler Ricochet, celebrates ‘hump day’ by sharing a thirst trap with her followers alongside a whole host of whacky sketches using Snapchat filters.
The weekly ritual is a hit with her fans, and this week’s took things to a steamy new level as Samantha shared a naked selfie with her torso and face in frame, and her long hair covering her modesty.
‘Wait until you see tonight’s hump day dump ppl def gonna be ,’ she teased ahead of time, accurately predicting the response.
Plenty of people praised her for the stunning snap and hilarious skits while hailingh her for ‘breaking the internet’.
However, others tried to criticise her for daring to be proud of her body.
One individual ranted: ‘What is the reason for your lack of clothing? What kind of role model are you for the younger generation, or are you just craving more attention like most Instagram h*es?’
Charming.
Samantha took the high road, and brilliantly replied: ‘A little Janet Jackson with a touch of Cher! Maybe a sprinkling of Alanis Morissette!
‘You’ll see more skin in the art museum! I think it’s beautiful and if the younger generation would like to celebrate themselves similarly at 35 years of age, more power to them!’
And after another more supportive follower hyped up the sketches, she admitted: ‘Thank you!!! Moreso than the shock value of pic 1, I wanted people to laugh. (sic)’
Someone else accused her of trying to ‘sexualise’ herself, but Samantha argued: ‘I am not sexualizing myself. Maybe that is what viewers are doing when they see it.’
Others even questioned her relationship with Ricochet, but a fan defended her and said: ‘ik their relationship the greatest behind closed doors.’
She simply replied: ‘it really is.’
Samantha has built a reputation as one of the greatest ring announcers in WWE history, with fans putting her on a level with the likes of Howard Finkel and Lillian Garcia.
She was first spotted by Hall of Famer Mark Henry – whose son just confirmed he has signed with WWE – and after coming up short in a wrestling tryout, she joined 205 Live as an announcer.
From there, she went onto appear on NXT, eventually being called up to SmackDown in January 2022, and then jumping to Raw 13 months later, before announcing 14 matches at this year’s WrestleMania.
