Simone Biles added to her decorated Olympic career on Saturday, capturing gold in the women’s vault final at Paris 2024.
The 27-year-old put up an average score of 15.300 on her Yurchenko double pike and Cheng vaults to lead the way and help her win the second gold of her career in the vault at the Games. She previously won gold in Rio de Janeiro.
Rebeca Andrade of Brazil took silver in the seventh, while American Jade Carey captured the bronze.
It is the 10th career medal for Biles which puts her in a tie for third most by a female gymnast.
