Rotolo’s Craft & Crust expands into Mississippi
Rotolo’s Craft & Crust, a Baton Rouge-based pizza chain, has opened its first restaurant in Mississippi.
The location in Southaven is the 32nd for Rotolo’s. It is owned and operated by local franchisees.
Mississippi is the seventh state Rotolo’s has expanded to, joining restaurants in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Colorado. Rotolo’s has 22 restaurants in Louisiana.
Crown Crafts acquires toddler bedding company for $18 million
Crown Crafts has acquired a substantial amount of the assets of Baby Boom Consumer Products for $18 million.
Baby Boom designs and sells toddler bedding and diaper bags that are sold by retailers such as Amazon, Target, Walmart and Babies R Us. The company sells licensed products with popular children’s characters such as Bluey, Paw Patrol and Cocomelon.
The acquisition of a diaper bag company expands the range of products Crown Crafts offers, CEO Olivia Elliot said in a statement.
Gonzales-based Crown Crafts paid for the deal through an $8 million term loan and additional borrowing. The company said the purchase will add about $20 million to its net sales.
Crown Crafts markets and distributes a range of products for infants, toddlers and small children, including bedding, bibs and toys.
New Orleans commercial insurance broker acquired
Southern Insurance Agency, a commercial property and casualty insurance broker based in New Orleans, has been acquired by NFP.
NFP is a $2.5 billion pharmacy and benefits consultant. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Louis Faust, founder and president of Southern Insurance, will join NFP as a senior vice president.
Officials said the deal fits in with NFP’s plans to build out a full-service office in New Orleans that offers insurance, wealth management and retirement plan services.
