Belfast artist Jordan Adetunji has roped in inspiration and muse Kehlani on an official remix of ‘KEHLANI’ via 300 Entertainment.
The original version of ‘KEHLANI‘ is Adetunji’s breakout hit, and a contender for song of the summer. It’s racked up close to 100 million streams and marks Adetunji’s first Top 20 entry on the UK Singles Chart; the song has also debuted in the Top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100. The full circle moment arrives weeks after Kehlani invited Adetunji to perform at her sold-out ‘Crash’ album release event in London.
Speaking on the collaboration, Jordan Adetunji shares: “Working with Kehlani has been a great experience because I’ve been able to see her process, and how she sings, how she places things, and how she says her words. Even her just translating what I said on my song to her verse was just amazing, it was seamless.”
On the spark of inspiration behind the original version, Adetunji continues: “Making a song about Kehlani was a no brainer to me, her confidence and huge cultural impact is something I love! I love confidence. Especially when people do things that put themselves out there, doing things out of the norm and showing huge ambition.”
