Windsor police say they seized more than $30,000 worth of drugs, including crack cocaine, while executing a search warrant just east of the city’s downtown core.
Following an investigation by the drugs and guns unit, officers arrested a 52-year-old male and a 47-year-old female Thursday connected to an apartment in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue.
Police said a search of the man turned up 31.5 grams of fentanyl.

After the man’s arrest, officers conducted a search of the apartment with assistance from K9 police dog Rolex and seized 54.5 grams of fentanyl, 68 grams of crack cocaine, 47.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a 9mm handgun, and $2,845 in Canadian cash.
The total value of drugs seized was $31,266, according to police.
The two suspects have each been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, and possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowing no authority.
Additionally, the man has been charged with eight counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited. The woman was also charged with one count of failure to comply with an undertaking, according to police.
