He will also join the E&S carrier’s board of directors
Insurtech At-Bay has announced the appointment of Ken Riegler (pictured above) as president of At-Bay Insurance.
Riegler brings over 25 years of experience in commercial underwriting, alternative risk management, and distribution. His most recent role was as president of North America general insurance, retail, and field operations at AIG, where he managed a diverse, multi-billion dollar portfolio including property, casualty, financial lines, and specialty.
At-Bay’s CEO and co-founder, Rotem Iram, expressed enthusiasm for Riegler’s appointment, citing his experience in scaling successful insurance organizations and products as crucial for At-Bay’s growth and development in the insurance sector.
In his new role, Riegler will focus on enhancing At-Bay’s position in the excess and surplus (E&S) insurance market and strengthening relationships with broker partners and clients.
He will also work alongside Kristie Felton, head of insurance, who will continue to oversee underwriting, partnerships, and field operations, supporting the company’s expansion efforts.
Riegler commented on his new position, emphasizing At-Bay’s reputation for innovation and service in the industry. He highlighted the company’s integration of AI, machine learning technology, and cybersecurity expertise as key factors positioning At-Bay as a leading provider of cyber insurance and InsurSec solutions.
Additionally, Riegler will join the board of directors of At-Bay Specialty Insurance Company, the company’s E&S carrier.
Early last year, the insurtech made headlines as it announced that it has become a full-stack insurance carrier, thanks to its acquisition of At-Bay Specialty Insurance Company from XL Insurance America.
Domiciled in Delaware, At-Bay Specialty Insurance Company is an excess and surplus lines P&C insurer licensed in 44 states.
The move to a full-stack carrier will allow it to better serve its policyholders as well as expedite its planned product expansion into additional specialty lines, At-Bay stated.
