Daniel Suarez has confirmed an extension of his contract with Trackhouse Racing, ensuring that he will continue piloting the No. 99 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series through the 2025 season. This will mark his fifth consecutive season with the team.

The extension follows a period of strong performances from Suarez, including a landmark victory at the Sonoma Raceway during the 2022 season. This win not only marked his first career Cup victory but also established him as the first Mexican driver to win a Cup race—a significant milestone in NASCAR’s history books. Further consolidating his emergence as a consistent top-tier competitor, he finished tenth in the championship standings that same year. Suarez is also into the 2024 NASCAR Cup playoffs.

Reflecting on his extended tenure with the team, Suarez commented on the contract extension, as quoted by Motorsport:

“Trackhouse is home to me and I have enjoyed every minute I have been here. We plan to keep working, growing and winning more races. We can only do that with the support of my Amigos and Amigas at Freeway Insurance. They have backed me for the last several years and we have grown close with their customers and employees.”

Justin Marks, Team Principal of Trackhouse Racing, also shared his enthusiasm about continuing this partnership.

“Everyone at Trackhouse Racing is pleased to continue the relationship with Daniel and Freeway Insurance. Daniel has been vital to this team and its culture since the first day. Freeway joined that same year and we have all continued to grow together and will continue into 2025.”

Alongside him, Ross Chastain helms the No. 1 Chevrolet, and other talents include three-time Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen, Cup rookie Zane Smith, and the promising young racer Connor Zilisch.
